  • Most frequently reported communicable disease is Chlamydia
  • Number two is Hepatitis C
  • AIDS rate is at 16.1 %
  • Tuberculosis 5.3 % cases reported Asian population had the highest rate
  • Hepatitis A highest rate is among children followed by adolescents
  • Hepatitis B increased 37 % from 1990, 7 times the rate of California
  • Hepatitis C most common bloodborne infection in Riverside and California estimated 18% incidence

Riverside County
  • Demographics
    • The percent of men and women are equal until the age of 55 when there are more women then men.
    • At the age of 85 or older there is twice as many women as there are men.
  • Immigration
    • The estimated number of illegal immigrants is approximately 83,600 but the population is unknown.

From 1993-1999 the percent of Riverside County high school graduations was equal with the State.

Based on analysis we concluded that Riverside County had a higer rate of deaths, but a lower rate of systemic diseases compared to California. Therefore, we would give Riverside County a letter grade C.
